My husband's new employer sent him to Indy with about a day's notice for training, which wouldn't have been too bad, except for the fact that he would be gone on his birthday. There went all my plans! I frantically searched for something nice to do for him while he was away, and settled on having something nice sent to his hotel room for him to enjoy after work. I called around in vain to find a bakery that would deliver anything smaller than a wedding cake, but got shot down. It turns out that that was actually fortunate, because I stumbled upon Parcha Sweets. I called their number near the end of the day and was pretty sure I would be shot down again. The woman I spoke with was really kind when I told her what my situation was, and told me to contact the owner directly. I emailed her and heard back in less than an hour (keep in mind I was making a request after business hours for a service that would be needed the next day). Parcha agreed to deliver a box of cookies and cupcakes to my husband's hotel in time for him to get them after he was done working for the day. When he returned to his room he was surprised to find a box of goodies, and really cheered up about being alone on his birthday. Even better? They were delicious (or so I've been told - he scarfed everything)! We've both had a lot of fad cupcake joints in Chicago and been disappointed, but my husband swore they were the richest, most delicious cupcakes he'd had in a long time. He also raved about the cookies. So, thank you to Parcha for being so kind to us - it made a hectic birthday a lot better for both of us!>>>   <<<From S.S.
